Gamble on This Deck of Cards and It Will Pay Off

My best friend from high school knocked on my front door one dreary rainy October morning, holding a brown paper bag in her hand chirping in an excited pitch, “I have something for you!”  At first thought, I hoped she had brought beer, the needed remedy for my hangover from the night before.  Quickly realizing the shape in the bag was square like a deck of cards and not the shape of a tin can or bottle, I rolled my eyes as I let her in the front door.

“Ugh, what is it”.

“Well don’t be too excited”.  Her facial expression changed to someone who is about to enter into a diatribe or a stern pep talk.  “Okay crazy train, stop complaining.  I brought you something you’re going to love”.  She stretched out her arm with bag in hand and I snatched it from her.

Peering inside, I could see an outline of a yellow and black box with what looked like a man holding a torch, like the statue of liberty.

“What the hell is this?”

As I pulled it out of the bag, I snorted, laughed, and felt exasperated, all at the same time.  It was a set of Tarot Cards.

“I saw it at a metaphysical bookstore and I knew it was for you.  You have to have this.”

Apparently, the universe wanted me to have this deck.

I Took a Gamble and It Paid Off

My Tarot journey started in 2014 and I never looked back. As it turns out, the Tarot deck of 78 cards, saved my life. It took one card at a time in what’s called a daily draw practice, not only to learn my deck, but to learn me. Each morning I pulled one card to help me see myself from new angles, to see how I was holding myself back, and to see the major life energetic themes at play.

So, What is Tarot?

“Tarot is the storybook of our life, the mirror to our soul, and the key to our inner wisdom.”

Biddy Tarot

Tarot is a major tool of self analysis and self-development with each card containing its own imagery, symbolism, and story.  Some may say that Tarot cards are simply pictures on paper, however, what I’ve discovered from reading Tarot is the cards reflect the trials and tribulations experienced on a daily basis.

Every spiritual lesson we encounter in our lives can be found in the seventy-eight Tarot cards. It’s the path of the hero’s journey. The path to self and who you truly are. When consulting the Tarot, it’s like holding up a mirror to yourself so that you can access your subconscious mind and tap into the wisdom (and answers) that live in you.

Tarot is perfect for self-development, making choices, manifesting goals, and meditating. Simply ask a question, pull a card, and dive into the imagery of the card to give you instant access to your inner wisdom and the answer you need.

Many people believe that Tarot is fortune telling, but making predictions is not what Tarot cards are about. Tarot readings help you understand what you need to know about your life situations at this time. In this way, it gives you vital information to help you make decisions about how to proceed.

Fortune Telling Is Out, and Intuition Is In

Especially if you want to create your ideal future and manifest your goals, the most powerful way to do that is to use Tarot cards to access your intuition and your inner wisdom. The imagery in the cards give you instant access to your subconscious mind and your intuition. It will take you to a place of inner power and wisdom where you can discover how to make positive changes now. This helps you can manifest your goals and your dreams in the future.

Tarot Helps You Heal From Within

During an important healing phase of my life, it came as no surprise that the exact cards I needed to see were the one that showed up. When dealing with transformation, the Death card appears. When dealing with themes of loss and grief, the 3 of Swords. Later when new cycles of energy appear, new cards with the same meaning of that energy start to appear. It is then, the storm clouds of life dissipate and The Sun comes out to play. Know and trust that Tarot cards provide the needed traction to heal your life and live it fully.

Just like the best friend who will tell you the truth, Tarot will show you the exact lessons you need to learn and master to live an inspired life. Tarot involves trust in the special magic and mystery of the universe that speaks to healing through imagery on cards. Let the image on the card be the healing you need to make in your life and it will pay off in spades ♠️.
